A | Director Anil Sharma has opened up about Apne's sequel Apne 2's fate. During an interview with Hindustan Times, he revealed that Apne 2, which would have supposedly starred Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Dharmendra, may not be made right now. Speaking after Dharmendra's demise, Anil shared that previously the sequel was planned as a continuation of the 2007 family drama Apne. However, the shooting for the movie never began. The filmmaker said, "Apne to apno ke bina nahi ho sakti. (Apne cannot happen without close people). Without Dharamji, it’s impossible to make the sequel. Everything was on track and the script was ready, but he left us. Some dreams remain unfulfilled.
